Jay Lundstrom

Jay Lundstrom is the band's keyboardist.  He was looking for a new musical home a few years ago, following the break-up of the popular group Raizin' Cane.  He found it with the Sofa Kings, another popular rock/blues band that was looking to add the piano, organ, horns, strings and more that Jay brings to the sound.

Jay's love of music goes back to the age of 12, when he started his first band playing drums, while keeping up with his piano lessons.  In 1973, he had the honor of being selected as a featured drum soloist in the All Student USA Band tour of Europe.  As a keyboardist, his travels have taken him as far away as Las Vegas. Jay has enjoyed playing drums or keys with several bands around Maine, from jazz to hard rock.

Music plays a large role in Jay's professional life too, as he is the afternoon host and production director for WBach, Maine's Classical Network.

Jay currently plays Kurzweil keyboards...PC3 and PC361.
